VOI MITSINJO

In Ambatolahy, close to Ranomafana National Park, VOI Mitsinjo has managed around 440 hectares of ancestral rainforest since 2020. Its community-led approach brings together forest restoration and protection, ecotourism and sustainable livelihoods.

OloNala

OloNala—meaning “humans” and “forests” in Malagasy—uses art to make conservation personal, accessible and locally rooted. Its work in Ranomafana includes art-based environmental education, nature journaling and an environmentally focused residency supporting Malagasy artists.

Alongside its creative work, OloNala follows a community buy-in model with VOI Mitsinjo: the VOI plans, implements and manages its conservation initiatives, while OloNala provides materials, training and support.
